What should I do while I wait for the engineer?

For a burst pipe: turn off your stopcock immediately (usually under the kitchen sink). For a gas leak: open windows, don't use switches, leave the house and call National Gas Emergency on 0800 111 999 before calling us. For no heating in winter: use electric heaters and insulate exposed pipes.

Is the emergency callout charge separate from the repair?

Callout depends on the type of job and urgency; we'll confirm the callout charge (and any out-of-hours rates) when you call. Any repair work is quoted separately before it begins.

Do you charge more at night or on weekends?

Emergency rates apply out of hours (evenings, nights, weekends and bank holidays). We'll always tell you the rate before the engineer is dispatched — no surprises when the bill arrives.

What if I have a gas leak?

Call the National Gas Emergency Service on 0800 111 999 first — they isolate your gas supply at the meter. Once safe, call us to repair the fault. We're Gas Safe registered for all gas pipework and appliance repairs.
